My trip to singapore and malaysia:)Happy moments!

My dad and mom were planning for a Europe trip without me and my sis! That is toooooo mean, isn’t it ?The plan slowly changed to taking my younger sis along(bcoz she never gave them a choice). That is extremely mean !well, all the plans changed and finally we all decided to go together to singapore and Malaysia.
My first day in singapore was full of excitement.Everything was exciting, the roads, the people, the cars, the road side shops, the 5 star hotels, the bathroom with tub, the swimming pool ,the lights and curtains, even the lock system was so different and suprising.Especially the way the chicks dress..all dressed in mini skirts, most of them in the dimensions of a perfect model..but yes,Indians have a better face value.

It was time for the most important thing in life, the dinner. Landed up in some Thai restaurant, spent some 1000 rupees just to throw the food. We ordered sea food dishes thinking it would be fish until we saw the dish had some different shapes of sea animals..some looked like snakes too. All of us were starving.
Then finally discovered an Indian restaurant close by and just had butter Naan and paneer (now that we all have decided to become strictly vegetarian ;)) and paid almost 10 times the Indian rates .Reminds me of the Big Mac theory and the purchasing power of people now.

The experience of eating Thai sea food actually affected me so much that I refused to eat non-veg even in Indian restaurant and It took me almost 3 months to get over it.

check out the picture.. two days later we found people selling thai sea food in the market! No wonder I couldn't recover from the shock!

Mornings were best part because of the rich breakfast in buffet system. They had all kind of foods be it Indian, Thai(yuk),Chinese, American ,all kinds of fruit salads, juices, deserts and dishes I have never even seen before. It was a new experience and I totally enjoyed it. But, we had plain Indian food. Didn't want to risk it again.

we visited all the places of tourists interest at Singapore like, the Jurong Bird Park, Zoo, Night Safari, Sentosa island, Esplanade theatre, ChinaTown,Old shophouses, temples and traditional trades and Little India( A fascinating place having all Indian things, from aromatic spicies to delicate woven sarees.)
We also went to several beaches, watched dolphin show at lagoon, bird’s of prey show and musical magical fountain show.
The famous Sentosa, Resort Island with theme parks was an amazing multi-sensory experience.During the night safari, they took us into the jungle but it was too made up and was nothing compared to the mudhumalai forest in India ,I ve been before. But,the best of all was the birds park and the underwater word. The birds park took us into a different world of the birds paradise, especially the talking parrots were amusing.

We went to various malls like Mustafa Plaza, Orchard Mall, etc which were really big malls. We bought two ipod nano, one white and one black from the Apple centre. They were a bit cheaper than here.Singapore is a rich and posh place. So clean with highly disciplined people. If you were 2 minutes late ,you miss the bus.we never had to wait even for five minutes any where right from the airport. My sis was telling my dad "guess this is not our kinda place. They expect too much punctuality” (lol).
It is a zero crime city and there is death penalty for drug trafficking there. There are government houses for people below certain income and there is absolutely no poverty anywhere.

We had dance shows and fun games even in the resort we were staying.Ya,Mahi won the crown ;)lol
We went to Malaysia for the next 3 days. There was not much to see there except for the mind boggling genetic park and the lovely shopping malls. Things were much more cheaper and affordable than Singapore and there were lovely collection of bags, shoes and western clothes.

The Genting island, a beautiful amusement place developed on a hill for tourists. A Chinese man had constructed a big fun park there. My sis and me were too excited and tried all the dangerous games on earth. Some games were like life after death.

The best was the suicide game. It takes you almost to the sky and u fall from there. I closed my eyes tightly like a coward and lost the entire thrill of suicide !haha!

But,the most unforgettable moment was in the Genting island in kuala lumpur, especialy the shopping experiance. My usual size shirts didn't fit me right.Guess, after effect of spending most of the time in pizza hut and relishing home food during my summer project.Still purchased them hoping to reduce ;)My sis also agreed with my idea.
We promised to be back my 9 PM .There was still some time left. We Went around clicking pic’s. We were amazed to see the GHOST standing outside.

It was the Ghost house and we didn’t want to pay and buy sleepless nights. We tried clicking a pic ,though we were warned once. The GHOST literally pounced on us just to chase us.well, who is more scaring is still a question ;)
My heart stopped for a moment and we left the place finally that too running and screaming like kids.

It was time to get back to the room.We knew that dad wouldn't like us returning late.We were LOST. yes, I cant believe it but we were completely lost in the crowd.
It is a big island with more than 10,000 shows and games around.
There were so many floors (indoor and outdoor)and we couldn't find our way back.

Tensed,excited,confused...lost!!!We had no choice but went around saying “we are lost. we stay in the grand season hotel .please help us”.Running around in genetic island which is very steep was terribly tiring. My sis said "now,I think ur shirt would fit u right".(lol)
Today,I realize that it was the best thing that happened in my entire trip. So much fun to explored the entire island in full tension.
We were back to Chennai.we started comparing things. The airport was so simple, a bit dirty too unlike Singapore airport which was even better than a 7 star hotel. Chennai was scorching hot. we took a cab and were laughing over various things.
My dad was criticizing the buildings here. The trees were much above the building. Cant compare it with Singapore building where they almost touch the sky and the tree’s appear so tiny next to the them.

But at the end of it.. Nothing like India.. nothing like your home!
I seriously cherished every moment I spent with my family in Singapore and Malaysia. May be, I’ll plan one more trip someday, ofcourse with someone else bearing the cost;) lol!!
